Midland Holdings ranked top 10 of Corporate Innovation Index 2022
Midland Holdings is currently ranked 10th in the first CUHK Business School "Corporate Innovation Index (CII)," aligned with many companies known for their Innovation, such as WeLab Bank, HSBC, and Hang Seng Bank. As the only real estate agency among all candidates, we are honored to earn recognition regarding Midland's innovative development. Angela Wong, Midland Holdings' Deputy Chairman, represents Midland Holdings to accept the award at Corporate Innovation Index Awards Presentation Ceremony and Forum officiated by Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
In response to Hong Kong Government's mission to develop Hong Kong into an innovation hub, the Asia-Pacific Institute of Business (APIB), the executive education arm of CUHK Business School launched CII, is funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong government, and with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) as a strategic partner. CII 2022 recruited more than 200 companies to undertake the survey questionnaire. The companies come from a wide range of industries, including retail, trading and logistics, financial services and fintech, property, construction and proptech, information, technology and communication, healthcare, and biotech. The top 20 best-performed companies are classified as 20 constituent companies, and as for the SEMs, 25 companies are selected and rated as one to three stars.
Carrying Midland's chairman and founder Wong Kin Yip's spirit of "Be proactive and innovative," it is Midland's mission to be dedicated to digitalizing agency service in 2016. Angela Wong initiated an innovative upgrade in 2016. We built an online platform that vigorously promoted online service and facilitated the digitalized workflow for employees. Digitalization generated a new work mode and optimized our customer experience with a more reliable, manageable, and time-saving process. Angela said:" Innovation establishes a proactive culture and encourages our team to think out of the box. We learn and improve from mistakes. We appreciate all Midlanders' effort, the support from our clients and partners, and the great acknowledgment of CII.".
The outbreak of coronavirus caused a significant economic shock to Hong Kong. Midland foresees that contactless consumption is the mainstream. It accelerates innovative development and iterative update. The number of users increased rapidly and grew to the top 1 application in the industry. Almost 80% of customers choose to access our online service first. Midland took the lead in the housing agency industry. We successfully transformed our services of buying and leasing online to let more people start their searches and purchases comfortably on their devices. We won three gold, two silver, and one bronze awards from Digiz Awards, which was hosted by Marketing Magazine, and this is the highest record of this competition in three consecutive years. Furthermore, Midland also won 6 awards, including two gold, three silver, and one bronze in Marketing Excellence hosted by Marketing Magazine as well, i.e. won a total of 12 awards, and it is the only agency to win this honor.
2022 is Midland's harvest year of awards. We won the Golden Prize for ESG Achievement Awards announced by the institute of ESG & Benchmark as "The Outstanding ESG Performer of the Year" It recognized our effort on sustainable development. We won eight awards of "the 8th Hong Kong Investor Relations Awards (Small Cap)" alongside listed companies as standouts announced by the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association. These awards show our best effort in ESG.
Looking ahead, Midland will continue digitalizing and entrepreneurial our business and promoting our sustainable development. We are committed to contributing to Hong Kong and the industry and achieving a wealthy life with our shareholders, customers, and employees.
